New Light System Questions

TRIDENX LED

Q: Can the TridenX be mounted on the helmet?

A: Yes, the TridenX can be used as a helmet light since the system includes both helmet and handlebar mounts.

Q: Are the TridenX NiMH battery and Li-Ion interchangeable?

A: No, if you have the TridenX Li-Ion you can only use the Li-Ion battery. This is the same for the TridenX NiMH; it can only use the NiMH battery.

Q: What is the difference between the TridenX Li-Ion and TridenX NiMH?

A: The brightness and functions are the same for both lights, the only difference is the battery, the Li-Ion battery is smaller / lighter, straps to the stem and lasts up to 12 hours, while the NiMH battery is larger / heavier, straps to the frame and lasts up to 18 hours.

Q: What is the difference between the TridenX Li-Ion and TridenX Li-Ion Xtra?

A: The only difference between the two lights is the battery. The TridenX Li-Ion has slim stem mount Li-Ion battery that lasts 2.5 hour to 12 hours, while the TridenX Li-Ion Xtra comes with a slightly larger frame mount Li-Ion battery which lasts twice as long (5 hours to 24 hours).

Q: Are the TridenX Li-Ion battery and TridenX Li-Ion battery interchangeable?

A: Yes, these Li-Ion batteries are interchangeable, if you have the slim Li-Ion battery you can use the larger Li-Ion Xtra battery for extra run time, and if you have the Li-Ion Xtra system you can use the smaller Li-Ion battery.

Q: If I have the TridenX Li-Ion and I want to use the TridenX Li-Ion Xtra battery, will I need a new charger?

A: No, the TridenX Li-Ion battery charger will charge the TridenX Li-Ion battery and vise versa.

DUALCROSS PRO

Q: What is the difference between the DualCross series introduced in 2006 and the DualCross Pro introduced in 2007?

Q: Can the DualCross Pro be mounted on the helmet?

A: Yes, the DualCross Pro can be used as a helmet light and the helmet mount kit is sold separately.

Q: Are the DualCross Pro NiMH battery and Li-Ion interchangeable?

A: No, if you have the DualCross Pro Li-Ion you can only use the Li-Ion battery. This is the same for the DualCross Pro NiMH.

Q: What is the difference between the DualCross Pro Li-Ion and DualCross Pro NiMH?

A: the brightness and functions are the same for both lights, the only difference is the battery, the Li-Ion battery is smaller, straps to the stem and lasts up to 17 hours, while the NiMH battery is larger, straps to the frame and lasts up to 18 hours.

Q: Will the chargers on the old DualCross series work on the DualCross Pro series?

A: Yes, chargers that came with the DualCross 200 and DualCross 300 will work with the DualCross Pro NiMH. Chargers that came with the DualCross Li-Ion will work with DualCross Pro Li-Ion.

ROVER II LED

Q: What is the difference between the Rover II LEDs and the old Night Rover series?

A: The Rover II LED series uses 3rd generation High-Brightness LEDs instead of standard halogen bulbs making them much brighter. In addition, the Rover II LEDs have more modes (4 to 6 modes total) and a lighter water bottle battery.

Q: Can the Rover II LED be mounted on the helmet?

A: Yes, the Rover II LED series can be used as a helmet light and the helmet mount kit is sold separately.

Q: Can the old Night Rover water bottle batteries work with the Rover II LED headlights?
